The Foot Massage Girl in the news
The Foot Massage Girl. Yep, that's me. You all know by now that I do more than just massage your feet, at Heeling Sole, I massage you with my feet. The ongoing public awareness efforts on the benefits of Ashiatsu for me are always in motion, trying to clue people in and help them better understand the barefoot massage techniques that I do.
(If you've made it this far into the post, and are looking for just a foot massage, well that's not what I do, but you can get an excellent Reflexology session with my office mates - but you might as well try an Ashiatsu bare foot massage in San Antonio with me - because it's awesome!)
Word gets around and sometimes I get picked up by the media. Last year I was featured on Streets Corner, a local news segment, and I was also awarded Best Massage Therapist in the San Antonio Current! 2013 is off to a big start in the news: this month I'm featured in not one, but TWO articles on Ashiatsu!
One of these articles is a national spa publication, "Les Nouvelles Esthetiques and Spa" (ooh, swanky - the foot massage girl goes to the spa!) I co-authored a piece on the clinical applications of Ashiatsu in a spa setting with the founder of Ashiatsu herself, Ruthie Piper Hardee! You can read this beauty here: "Hows your Pain Management Menu"
The second article is a feature in a local magazine, Natural Awakenings. You can pick up a hard copy of this great massage-centered issue for free at our office, Whole Foods and other healthy, happy places around San Antonio.... or just read it here: Sole-Ful Massage
I still hear many locals say "Oh, you are the who gives the Foot Massage!" - so at least people have heard about it, and I'm trying hard to keep spreading the word. You can always check out the Media Page on my website to see more Ashiatsu in the news... barefoot massage is a real thing, I'm not making all this up, I swear.

Socially Acceptable
I realize I'm not the worlds best blogger. I think it's my reading narcolepsy that's to blame. If I read a lot, I fall asleep. If I actually do take the time to sit down and write something, it'll be so long that you'll fall asleep. Naps are nice, but they are kind of inconvenient if it happens face first into your laptop in a Starbucks.
So while I'm busy ~not~ keeping this blog super bogged down with posts, you can follow me on Twitter and Facebook. Whether you are a client of Heeling Sole, a massage therapist interested in learning more about Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy, or a graduate of one of my classes, I'll have a little bit of something for everyone here on the blog (occasionally) but more often it'll be on my social networks, in 140 characters or less.

And I'm sure you already know about my mailing lists, which I end up re-posting here as a PDF file anyways, but just incase you'd like to get alerts from me in your inbox, you can sign up on this page: http://www.heelingsole.com/contact.html
Thanks for tuning in! OH, and don't forget that I redesigned the Heeling Sole website ... check it out!
